VON DG Urges Unity, Renewed Hope as Nigeria Turns 65

The Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, resilience and the spirit of renewed hope as the nation marks its 65th Independence Anniversary.

In his Independence Day message, Mallam Ndace paid tribute to the founding fathers of VON, describing them as visionaries who established the organisation to shape positive narratives for Nigeria and Africa.

He said their legacy continues to inspire VON in its mission to amplify Nigerian stories, uphold national values and contribute to building a brighter future for generations to come.

Reflecting on the occasion, the VON Director-General urged citizens to align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing the need for collective effort in harnessing the nation’s boundless potential.

“With Almighty God on our side, and guided by the message of the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, we must continue to promote our country for prosperity and for future generations by building and sustaining positive narratives,” he said.

Mallam Ndace reaffirmed VON’s commitment to supporting national development and fostering unity through constructive storytelling.

He extended heartfelt congratulations to all Nigerians, urging them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of peace, unity and progress.

“Happy 65th Independence Day! God bless Nigeria,” he added.
