Vote Counting Begins in Bayelsa State

Sorting and counting of votes have began in many polling units in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State Capital.

In the Zamara-Okordia area of the State capital, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission could be seen counting the ballots after the last eligible voter had voted.


In ward 4, unit 5 of the same local government, voters continue to troop out even the period of voting had lapsed.

Vote counting is also ongoing in Sampou,Kolokuma-Opokuma local government, the hometown of incumbent Governor, Duoye Diri.
