“From the reports I received so far, the turnout is good all over the 21 local government areas.
“If not for the little hitch we had with our BVAS here, we would have gone far with voting. All the same, I can say our turnout is about 99 per cent,” he said

He expressed the hope that the whole exercise would be free, fair and credible to usher in a new President and National Assembly leaders for Nigeria.
“The people are keen about the election and they are keenly voting leaders of their choices, and I’m impressed about it”.
Elections were peaceful across the state and the timely accreditation of the voters interviewed, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of election officials and security agents especially the operatives of Nigeria’s Anti-graft agency (EFCC) who were sighted at the polling stations visited.
The respondents said they were surprised that there were no acts of vote buying at the polling centres in the state capital due to the involvement of the anti-graft agents in the conduct of the elections, allaying fears of election fraud in Saturday’s general elections.
However, elections were disrupted at Oganaji polling station, in Dekin local government area, where a thug Identified as Attah Ahiaba, made an attempt to snatch the ballot box and was killed by the security agent.
