Nigeria’s Vice President Kasham Shettima has arrived in Abidjan the capital of Cote D’Ivoire, as he leads Nigeria’s delegation to the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

VP Shettima is in the West African nation on the instructions of President Bola Tinubu.

His presence is expected to boost the morale of players of Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles, as they take on the Ivorian national team in the final match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

To reach the finals, the Super Eagles defeated South Africa 4: 2 on penalties, after regulation time ended one goal apiece.

The Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire on the other hand, defeated the Democratic Republic of Congo 1:0 to book a date with Nigeria in today’s grand finale.

Although the Ivorians will have home support as hosts, that will not deter the Super Eagles from clinching the coveted trophy, keeping in mind the support of over 200 million Nigerians, who are passionate about football.

Nigeria aims to win the African mundial for the 4th time while Cotr D’Ivoire is seeking its 3rd win.
