“We will not allow detractors destroy Nigeria” – Tinubu

Nigerians have been urged not to allow detractors to divide or destroy the nation, despite the challenges.
National leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Ahmed Tinubu gave the advice at the marriage ceremony of the daughter of renowned Islamic cleric and educationist Shiek Mohammed Bin- Uthman in Kano State.
Tinubu said the detractors of the country would not stop wanting to divide the country but people should become more united against them so that they will not win the battle.
“We will not allow detractors divide or destroy this country. The dividers will not stop at wanting to divide Nigeria but we should not allow them….. The unity of this country is more important to me,” said Tinubu.
He described the Governor of Kano State Dr. Umar Ganduje as a great thinker and lover of unity of the country Nigeria, while commending him on his giant strides in infrastructural development of the state.
“Ganduje is one of the great thinkers of the unity of this country. The flyover and the other projects that I have seen while being driven down here is an evident of hard work for the benefit of the people,” Tinubu said.
Senator Tinubu described the father of the bride Sheik Bello Othman as “a great lover of Nigeria, progressive thinker with highly respected followers.”
“You have build so many along the line of education and that is why, when you call many people follow. I’m glad about your appreciation of the symbolic visit,” he said.
He prayed for the groom and bride to enjoy the fruitfulness of their marriage with Allah’s guidance urging them to prioritise love in their daily affairs.
Governor Ganduje in his remark expressed appreciation of the great works of Sheik Bin-Uthman and prayed for the couple.
“We are grateful to the Sheik, We pray for the family. We believe the marriage will be a lasting one and worthwhile,” Ganduje said.
The Bride’s father, Sheik Bin-Uthman described Tinibu’s visit to honour the marriage as an “unquantifiable honour and a symbolic one that build bridge between the north and southern part of the country.”
“It is a great honour as our sons and daughters get married. If we continue to come together like this, it will make the difference.”
“Nigeria is passing through alot of difficult times but it is only our togetherness that can solve the problem,” Sheik Bin-Uthman said.
Chief Bisi Akande, an elder statesman and chieftain of APC as well as former EFCC boss Nuhu Ribadu were part of the dignitaries that graced the occasion.
