West African Physicians Commend Ilorin General Hospital On Public Safety

A delegation from the West African College of Physicians led by Dr. Adefemi Samuel have commended the Management and staff of the General Hospital Ilorin for keeping the hospital environment tidy and hygienic for public health safety.
Dr. Adefemi gave the commendation while inspecting the facility in Ilorin.
The delegation had come to the city to inspect the newly created Department of Family Medicine, as part of the requirement for accreditation of the programme.
Dr. Adefemi expressed satisfaction with the basic amenities that have been made available by the management, which includes electricity, water and walkways, among other facilities required of a new medical department.
He encouraged the hospital to further build the capacity of relevant staff with adequate training to achieve a high level of professionalism.
He tasked the Management to also digitize their record unit for easy storage and retrieval of data.
Responding, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Dr Ahmed Bola Abdulkadir, commended the team for the visit and their objective assessment of the health facility.
He noted their observations and promised that the management will work towards them.
