The Independemt Electoral Commission, INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Yobe State, Ibrahim Abdulahi says security officers on ground have displayed capability to handle matters of security all through Saturday’s election process.
He stated this in Damaturu, Yobe state capital while distributing the sensitive materials to various local governments for onward distribution to the wards and units.
The Yobe State Resident Electoral Commissioner assured that all the places where election will be held have been recommended by the security operatives to be safe and fully covered.
He assured all voters in Yobe state that they would be fully secured as they come out to vote on Saturday’s elections.
He called on all residents to come out enmass and feel free to exercise their franchise.
“As far as you have a voters card we have secured the environmemnt and the security are up to the task so come and make your own choice don’t allow other people to make the choice for you,” the REC said.
He assured that the sensitive materials are intact and was escorted by all the security agents in the states.
Meanwhile as the people await and prepare for Saturday’s election, Damatura and the entire state is peaceful and calm.
