The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Ebonyi state, South-east Nigeria, Dr. Sunday Opoke, and other party members have met to strategize for electoral victory as the general election draws near.

Opoke called on all his party members to remain resilient and work hard towards winning their positions in the forthcoming election.

While addressing the YPP members in Abakaliki, the state capital, Dr. Opoke stressed the importance of sharing vital information timely amongst themselves.

Opoke mobilized the party members to go into the hinterland and campaign within the ambit of the law to ensure victory for all YPP candidates in the election ahead.
He urged them to remain peaceful and report any violence against them to the appropriate authorities for action.
“One of the strategies should be working in accordance with the electoral laws, and by doing that, I assure you that victory is ours,” said Opoke.
During the meeting Dr. Opoke called on the general public to vote him in as governor.
“As I speak to you, I have a better chance to win the forthcoming election because I am the only candidate who is not having pending cases either with the Law Court or the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),” he said.
