The Young Progressives Party (YPP) women wing in Anambra South Senatorial District recently, received it’s state woman Leader, Hon. Blessing Icheku (Beauty), while unveiling party candidates in the zone.
The mobilization and strategic Meeting with all the local government and ward women leaders in Anambra South was held recently at Ifeanyi Ubah’s Club House Nnewi, Anambra State.
Speaking at the event , the candidate of the Young progressive party (YPP) for Nnewi North, Nnewi south and Ekwusigo federal constituency , Amb.Peter Uzokwe urged the women to remain focused and go door to door in canvassing votes for the Party’s Senatorial, house of representatives and state houses of assembly elections.
Speaking also , the candidate of the party for Aguata Federal Constituency, Hon. Emma Ezeokafor who was also at the event, appreciated the women for their wonderful efforts that has contributed immensely in making the party a firm third force in Anambra state that is poised to sweep the upcoming polls, especially in Anambra South Senatorial District where we have a Senator that has performed wonderfully well.
The Prince of the Senate, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah , who was represented by the zonal Vice Chairman of the party , Hon Ken Ikuru, in his speech , thanked the women for remaining steadfast in their commitment to the open door policy style of the party in service delivery in Anambra South Senatorial District.
He admonished the women to embark on door to door messaging of its ‘Gosimkamfunanya'(seeing is believing) style of representation and bring on board as many volunteers as are willing to play roles during the campaigns . The Senator in his usual style also showered the women lots of goodies and appreciated them for their good works in the grassroots.
Various speakers from the women wing , expressed their readiness to deliver the Party’s Candidates in the various positions and poured encomuims on the Senator for making their jobs easier with his wonderful performances so far at the Senate.
Present at the event was the state woman leader, Hon. Blessing Icheku, some Candidates of the party for the upcoming federal elections in Anambra South as well as all the women leaders drawn from the 7 local governments and the Ward Women Leaders.
Some YPP Candidates in the Senatorial District that were unavoidably absent also sent in good will messages through their representatives.
