YPP Wins Anambra South Senatorial District Election

In Anambra State, South East Nigeria, Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, has been declared the winner of the Anambra South Senatorial District election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The election umpire made the announcement through the Returning Officer for the Anambra South Senatorial District, Professor Ebele Nwokoye.
The results was announced before the people of Anambra South after the original result was signed by all the party agents.

The Returning Officer, Professor Nwokoye, announced that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of “YPP polled 73,115 votes to defeat Honourable Chris Azubogu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, who scored 45, 369.

Over his victory, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah thanked the people of Anambra South for their support and promised more impactful and human oriented representation.

Ubah, “appreciated the electoral umpire for seamless electoral process and improved service delivery” and expressed hope that the democratic process of Nigeria will continue to get better with active participation and dedication of every relevant stakeholders.

The Director General, of his Campaign Organization, Mr Vin Onyeka, attributed the victory to the performance of Senator Ubah in the 9th Senate adding that the victory would surely encourage him to perform better in the 10th Senate.
