Zimbabwe Warns of Six More Cyclones
The government in Zimbabwe has warned that six more cyclones will hit the country in the current rainy season.
Local Government Minister July Moyo said the government had put in place ‘measures to warn and protect lives and property.’
He said lessons had been learnt from previous cyclones that have affected the country.
The minister said “the meteorological department had predicted the cyclones would make a landfall but their strength could not be confirmed.”
In the current rainy season, Zimbabwe was affected by cyclone Ana, but a subsequent one, Batsirai, did not hit the country.
