100 Days: Governor Namadi Commissions Road Projects in Sokoto State

The Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has commissioned 3.4-kilometer roads executed by his counterpart of Sokoto Ahmed Aliyu.

The roads projects are in, kware, Zagga, Jaredi and Isa roads off Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital within Sokoto metropolis.

In his remarks, Governor Namadi commended the gigantic project within only 100 days in office by the state government.

He said the project indicates the commitments of the All Progressive Congress (APC) government selfless service to its people.

“These projects executed by Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto within 100 days in office serves as an example that he has zeal for selfless service to the people and has a beautiful beginning in the state.

“I commend him and urge the people of the state to continue to support him towards fulfilling his campaign promises as dividend of democracy and a legacy for the next generation,” Governor Namadi said.

The Governor further Charged the benefitting communities to take full ownership of the projects to boost socio-economic activities in the area and the state at large.

Earlier, the Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, expressed gratitude to Governor Namadi for honouring his invitation to inaugurate the roads.

Aliyu explained that the contract was awarded to Roads Nigeria and BCCG construction company at the cost of over 800 million naira.

He said the road projects were part of his campaign promises and his 9-Point Agenda unveiled by his administration to move the state forward.

Governor Aliyu further added that roads inauguration marked a significant milestone towards enhancing infrastructural development in the state.

He commended the two companies for executing quality work and for timely completion of the projects as specified.

The Sokoto State Governor also named one of the roads commissioned after the Governor of Jigawa, Malam Umar Namadi.
