2023: Ex-Kwara State Governor’s son Hakeem Lawal joins gubernatorial race

The Chief Executive Officer of Awliyah Foundation and son to former Kwara State Governor, Abdulhakeem Oladimeji Lawal has submitted his nominations form under the aegis of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in his bid to run for the seat of the Kwara State Governor in the coming 2023 election.
The submission of his nominations form was done during his visit to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) state secretariat located at Flower Garden road, GRA, Ilorin, North Central Nigeria.
He was received by a crowd of well wishers and supporters who trooped out en-mass to express their support and solidarity towards his ambition.
Hakeem Lawal during his submission commended the state executive arms of the SDP for their hard work, transparency and accountability towards ensuring that the best candidates emerge for the ticket for every position.
He thereby urged them to be persistent in their unflinching cause towards the actualization of a better Kwara with the hope that everything will fall in place.
The Chairman of SDP in the state, Abdulazeez Afolabi lauded the statesman and philanthropist for his kind and progressive gesture laid towards the development of the party from his donation of over 80 billboards and sign posts all over Kwara State, donation of a sum of Five hundred thousand naira 500,000 cash as well as the donation of a brand new office working machines to the party secretariat just during the submission of his Nomination forms.
The chairman on behalf of the executive members and general party members appreciated his gesture and wished him well in his personal endeavors as well.
