2023: Social Democratic Party Presidential Candidate Promises Righteous Leadership

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Nigeria, Prince Adewole Adebayo has promise that his leadership will reflect righteousness and good governance if elected Nigeria’s President.

Prince Adebayo made this known at the Extra Ordinary ECWA General Church Council meeting in Jos, Plateau State North central Nigeria.

He urged Christian leaders to raise Christians who would represent Christ in politics.

He noted that the role of the church remains to bring light where there was darkness, feed the hungry, and take care of the sick and vulnerable and that he would be one that would do the work of Christ through politics.

The SDP presidential candidate further pointed out that “the church should be concerned about the kind of government in power because it is dealing with civic problems, in other words, doing Caesar’s work.”

He noted that the “government has a major role to play in the life of the church and it members that most of the problems brought to clergymen are not problems of spiritual growth, neither horizontal growth or vertical growth of the church but are problems of a failure of the civic space”.

In his response, the President of the Envergelical Church of Winning All, ECWA, Reverend Stephen Baba-Panya commended the SDP Presidential Candidate for being a part of the gathering and contributing meaningfully to the Assembly.

Prince Adebayo was accompanied by his entourage – Honourable Minister Solomon Dalung, D.G Adebayo Presidential campaign, Chief Godwin Osigbeme and Senator Ugochukwu Uba and members of the SDP presidential campaign council.
