Ondo State government implements 78percent of 2022 budget

Ondo State Government on Monday said its 2022 budget implementation has reached 78 percent in June.

The Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Emmanuel Igbasan, made this known at a consultation meeting with women groups and people living with disabilities.

The meeting was for the 2023-2025 medium term expenditure framework and, to prepare 2023 budget.

Igbasan, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr Bunmi Alade, said the government was looking at having 100 percent performance by the end of the year.

He said that the state budget processes had undergone improvement in recent times in terms of preparation, implementation, monitoring and appraisal.

Igbasan said the continuous involvement of stakeholders in crafting the state budget had engendered credibility and put the state on the path of building sustainable trust and partnership for socio-economic development in the state.
