Nasarawa residents Laud Governor Sule’s development projects

In continuation of the three-day tour embarked by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Nasarawa State, residents in the northern senatorial zone have commented on Governor Abdullahi Sule for initiating projects that have a direct bearing on the people of the state.

Expressing their feelings some residents of Angwa Aho in Garaku, Ramatu Hassan, and Gambo Amadou appreciated the state government for drilling boreholes to ease their suffering in times of Water supply in the area.

A ward Leader in Garaku Malam Amadou Awaje Ewa said the community travelled far before accessing drinking water, declaring to reward Governor Sule in the next election.

The Chairman of the Kokona Local Government area of the state Auwwalu Adamu has reiterated the support of the people of Kokona to Governor Abdullahi Sule for his laudable developmental projects in the area.

Auwwalu made the position known while speaking to a journalist in Garaku.

The state Government under Engineer Abdullahi Sule as well in the area of rural electrification, the building of boreholes, and schools conditional cash transfer among other developmental programs while reiterating their support to Governor Sule beyond 2023, Adamu said

The crew also visited Gudi morro road which was awarded to Tilley Gyado and Company Nigeria limited which is 17 kilometres, and upgrading of Angora Arusa Bassa finder road all in Kokona and Akwanga respectively.

In an interview with some commuters flying the road, Idi Muhammadu and Bilyanu Goma morro said The road has eased our transportation and movement compared to previous years before the road was constructed”,

The present administration has completed the Gudi modern market, ongoing construction of VIP Guest House Akwanga, and construction of Neighborhood Market Akwanga.

Speaking to traders; Polina Aliyu and Murtala Yusif said if the market was completed it will provide a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

Another respondent Mr David Zakariyya showered praises on Governor Abdullahi Sule for providing Primary Health Care Center in Akwanga North under the 2022 intervention.

Given the three days tour of the Journalists, Nasarawa State Government has awarded the construction of Nunku Agyaga- Rinze to Sunlink Construction Nigeria Limited which is 41.9 kilometres in the Akwanga Local Government area.

While commending Nasarawa state Government for awarding the contract Suleman Ibrahim and Ezekiel sharia said they were not expected the road to be constructed because the previous Administration has promised to construct the road but had failed.

Also Speaking to Voice of Nigeria, Some residents of the chessu community along Sisinbaki to Kwara road in Wamba Local government area Haruna Labaran and Umar Bulus said the people around that Axis are really happy because most of them are farmers with the intervention of the state government for constructing the road, has reduced their sufferings and other criminal activities as they can move day and nights peacefully.

The road is 15.5 kilometres and is estimated to have cost 2.49 billion nairas commissioned by Governor Abdullahi Sule on Saturday 22 May 2021.

While moving to back to Lafia, the state capital, the state government constructed a Modern market in Nasarawa Eggon and the work is 80 percent complete.
