Niger: NAF Seeks TRADOC Collaboration To Combat Banditry
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in Minna, Niger State, has emphasized the need for improved collaboration in joint operations, particularly in addressing the surge of banditry in Niger State.
Group Captain Henry Eze made the pronouncement at Headquarters Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), Minna, Niger State when he paid a courtesy call on the Commander, TRADOC NA, Major General Kevin Aligbe.
During the visit, Group Captain Eze appreciated the Commander for the level of synergy and support the TRADOC NA has been rendering to NAF over the years as contained in a statement by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations
Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba.
He also called for more collaboration to enable NAF to carry out its statutory obligation across the state.
“It is Customary and in line with the military tradition that whenever Commanders and Commanding officers assume command, they embark on courtesy visits on relevant critical stakeholders within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) for improved operational collaboration and coordination of military duties,” he said.
Group Captain Eze that Major General Aligbe is one of the highly respected and regarded senior officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces with verse knowledge and experience. He, therefore, requested the strategic guidance of the Commander TRADOC NA stressing that from time to time he will be consulting him for strategic guidance.
In his response, the Commander TRADOC, Major General Aligbe, reassured the Commander 013 QRF of maximum support, especially in training, conferences, workshops, operational engagements and other capacity-building activities.
Major General Aligbe equally applauds the NAF for mentoring/training pilots for the Nigerian Army Aviation, especially during the recent testing of the newly procured platforms of the NA Aviation in Minna which the QRF is an integral component of the training programme.
He also pointed out the roles of NAF Minna at all TRADOC NA simulations, and other operational engagements, urging the Commander NAF QRG to maintain the momentum of the already established synergy between TRADOC NA and the NAF QRG.
