Akpabio Urges Collective Security Effort in Southeast As Monarch buries wife

The Nigeria Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has called on the southeast governors (Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi) and citizens to unite in combating insecurity in the region. This call was made at the funeral of Lolo Catherine Nwazunafia Orizu, wife of the traditional ruler of the Nnewi community in Anambra State, Igwe Kenneth Orizu III.

Represented by his Senior Special Adviser, Sylvester Okonkwo, Akpabio emphasized the need for collective action to address security challenges in the Southeast. The burial ceremony for Lolo Catherine was a colourful event attended by dignitaries, including members of the legislature and prominent figures.

 

 

The Crown Prince of the Nnewi Dynasty, Prince Obianaefo Orizu, paid tribute to Lolo Catherine for her invaluable contributions to the kingdom. Her dedication to the progress of Nnewi was praised, and her legacy promised to inspire future generations.

Notable figures, such as the MD of Dozzy Oil and Gas, Sir Daniel Chukwudozie, also paid their respects to the late Lolo Igwe. Prayers and traditional rites were offered in her honor, with condolences and words of comfort extended to the bereaved royal family.

 

 

The funeral ceremony reflected the deep respect and admiration for Lolo Catherine, highlighting her commitment to the community and the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her. As the Nnewi community mourned her loss, they found solace in the knowledge that her legacy would continue to shape the kingdom’s growth and prosperity.
