All is set for President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Imo State today Monday 31st, October.
Barring any last minute change, the President is expected to declare open, the 2022 annual Police Officers Conference and Retreat, with the theme: “The Imperative of a Nigeria Police Strategic Plan for Peaceful Elections.”
The venue of the event and streets of Owerri, the State capital are already wearing new looks, adorned with bill boards bearing pictures of the President and past bosses of the Nigerian Police.
Security has also been beefed up around the streets and roads leading to the event Centre.
Jingles are also being aired on local radio and television stations to welcome the Nigerian leader and participants.
