The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN), Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, says he has articulated an implementable blueprint to launch the state into one of the fastest-growing economies of the nation.

He added that the agenda would be hinged on the development of the non-oil sector, industrialization, employment opportunities and wealth creation for the teeming youths.

Prof Soludo, who is aspiring to govern the state under the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), made this known when he was hosted by the Member representing Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Dozie Nwankwo at his Enugwu Ukwu country home.

He said if elected into office more effort would be made to leverage the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport to create an economic hub with business clusters to boost the state’s revenue base.

While highlighting a foreseen drop in oil revenue, he stated that his administration would focus less on bogus political appointments, but rather encourage youth involvement in productive sectors for economic sustainability and state development.

He, then, solicited the support of the party faithful during the forthcoming primary election ahead of the 6th November 2021 poll slated to hold on 23rd June 2021 to enable him clinch the party’s ticket.

Earlier, the convener of the gathering, Hon Dozie Nwankwo pledged to mobilize more support for his emergence, even as party faithful from the constituency unanimously lent their voices in favour of his endorsement.

He told the gathering that they would not be disappointed by APGA led administration which has the interest of the Igbo race at heart, adding that he would sustain his empowerment programme for the constituents in promoting their economic life.
