Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.
Governor Soludo described their engagement as warm, symbolic, and reassuring for the future of both Anambra State and Nigeria.
According to a statement issued by the Governor’s Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the meeting emphasised the longstanding personal relationship between the two leaders, which spans more than two decades.
President Tinubu reportedly received Governor Soludo with “visible delight,” reflecting the depth of their long-standing rapport.
During the visit, President Tinubu renewed his congratulations to Soludo on his decisive victory in the recently concluded Anambra governorship election, where the Governor secured approximately 73 percent of the total votes cast.
The President is said to have described the outcome as a strong endorsement of Soludo’s governance approach and the collective vision for a “livable, prosperous, and development-driven” Anambra State.
Governor Soludo, in a statement shared on his social media page, expressed gratitude for the President’s warmth and goodwill.
He noted that Tinubu’s repeated commendations reaffirm the confidence invested in his administration by both the Federal Government and the people of Anambra.
The two leaders also discussed broader national priorities.
According to Soludo, they underscored the importance of stronger regional cooperation, institutional reforms, and people-centered policies in building a safer, more prosperous, and united Nigeria.
The Governor reiterated Anambra State’s full commitment to the Nigerian project, emphasising that sustained collaboration between the Federal Government and the state remains vital to achieving meaningful national development.
He said; “We are one Nigeria and together with God on our side, we will build the Anambra and the Nigeria of our dreams.”
