Anambra Health Commissioner Urges Public to Embrace Healthy Eating Habits

Anambra State Health Commissioner, Dr. Afam Obidike, in a bid to promote good health and prevent the rise of lifestyle diseases, is advocating for the public to prioritize healthy eating habits.

During an interactive session with his media aides at the Jerome Udoji State Secretariat Complex in Awka, Dr. Obidike stressed the importance of consuming balanced diets, engaging in regular physical activity, and being mindful of what one consumes.

This advice aligns with the ongoing efforts to enhance public health and reduce preventable illnesses in the state. Dr. Obidike also urged citizens to prioritize regular medical checkups and adhere to health guidelines for a longer, healthier life.

Moreover, he highlighted that blood pressure checks are still being offered free of charge at all state-owned primary and secondary healthcare facilities.

Governor Charles Soludo’s administration is dedicated to prioritizing the health of the people of Anambra State, with the recent establishment of functional General Hospitals in all 21 Local Government Areas and interventions in 326 wards to enhance service delivery.

Additionally, the Commissioner announced that the newly constructed, equipped, and staffed General and Specialist Hospitals will soon be commissioned by Governor Soludo.
