The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command, under the leadership of Sector Commander Joyce Alexander, has launched a new initiative aimed at raising the quality of certified driving schools and improving transparency in the driver’s license acquisition process.
In a statement, the Sector Public Education Officer, Margaret Onabe, said the initiative involves the production and public display of banners listing all FRSC-certified driving schools across the state. The effort is a collaborative project between the command and the Driving School Proprietors Association of Anambra State.
“The banners, which feature the names of all FRSC-certified driving schools, will be prominently displayed at all driver’s license centres in the state,” Onabe said.
She noted that the campaign is designed to achieve several objectives, including:
Educating the public and prospective drivers on recognised and FRSC-approved driving schools.
Discouraging the use of unregistered or substandard driving schools.
Enhancing compliance with the Driving School Standardisation Programme (DSSP).
Reducing the circulation of fake or compromised training certificates.
Promoting professionalism and accountability within the driving school sector.

According to the FRSC, the initiative is part of a broader strategy to uphold the integrity of the National Driver’s License Scheme and support the Corps’ overall road safety goals.
Onabe expressed optimism that the move would contribute significantly to reducing road traffic crashes and fostering safer roads across Anambra State.
