Ahead of the June 6 – 8 Presidential primary of the All progressives Congress, APC, the party’s National Leader, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu, who is also vying for a ticket, met with Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun, and other delegates to seek support towards the 2023 general election.

Tinubu says it is his time to be the next president to lead the nation to greatness.

Tinubu, while addressing delegates in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, called on the South-West to support his aspiration to become the next president of the nation for the unification and growth of all parts of the country.

The presidential hopeful shared his political prowess with the party members, stressing, “I have five governors in South-West.”

He called on delegates to consider his political strength in their choice during the forthcoming APC primary election.

Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State, described himself as the best candidate for the party, saying he had helped several Nigerians achieve their political ambitions in the last 25 years.

He further stressed that it was time to reciprocate his kind gesture by electing him as the party’s presidential candidate.

He noted that with his experience in politics for many decades, he deserved a chance to turn the country’s fortunes for the better.

While welcoming the political stalwart to the state, Governor Dapo Abiodun declared that delegates from the state would do the right thing during the primary election as they could identify quality leaders.

While lauding the APC National Leader for his passion for the growth of the South-West and the nation, Abiodun said, “this time is an interesting period in the nation’s history which calls for all hands to be on deck.”

He described Tinubu as a master strategist, political warrior, mentor of men, builder of bridges, and a serial winner.

The event was attended by Governors Babajide Sanwo- Olu (Lagos) and Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), and other party stalwarts from across the country.
