A Federal High Court in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, has affirmed Mr Victor Oye as the lawful National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA.
Justice James Omotoso in a judgment Tuesday evening held that by the judgments of the Federal High Court, Court of Appeal and later Supreme Court, it was clear that Victor Oye is the legitimate National Chairman of the party.
The Court kicked out Mr Edozie Njoku who had been claiming the National Chairmanship of the party.
Justice Omotosho held that Edozie Njoku was a meddlesome interloper in the suit seeking to reap where he did not sow.
According to Justice Omotosho, the judgment of the Appellate court and the Supreme Court remained valid until same is set aside.
The Judge condemned the action of a legal practitioner Mr CN Nwagwu for deliberately misleading the Court and causing unnecessary confusion that wasted judicial time.
Justice Omotoso said that Nwagwu failed to act as Minister in the temple of Justice adding that his conduct was not proper for a legal practitioner of his status.
He added that “the temple of justice is a temple of God” saying ministers of justice should be guided by fairness in presenting their facts in the court of law and remember that, they will give account of their stewardship before the Almighty God.
The court urged counsels to always put their facts accurately and guide their clients.
This judgement puts to rest the long disputed leadership tussle and the legal battle in the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA.
