This advisory follows the emergence of a doctored voice-over video that falsely claims the Federal Government is transporting weapons to attack citizens in the South-East.

In an official statement signed by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Olabisi Ayeni, the 82 Division and JTF-SE OPUK condemned the video as a deliberate and malicious attempt to stir ethnic tension and incite public unrest. The security agencies reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace, unity, and public safety in the region.

The public is urged to disregard such misinformation and rely solely on credible, verified sources for accurate updates. Authorities have also confirmed that investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the individuals behind the false video.

Residents are encouraged to support efforts toward peace by fostering unity, promoting trust, and working together for the greater good of national security.

The 82 Division and JTF-SE OPUK remain steadfast in their mission to ensure peaceful coexistence and address any threats to security within the region.
