Dr. Obidike emphasized that the governor’s good intention for every pregnant woman across the state should not be taken for granted, and anyone found demanding money or diverting materials, and drugs would face serious sanctions.
“The intention is for every women to receive the free services from all our Primary Healthcare Centre’s and General Hospitals across the state.’’

The Commissioner informed that a few days ago after the declaration by the governor he had an emergency meeting with the Executive Secretary of the state Primary Development Agency including all the directors, instructing them on how to monitor the exercise.

Dr. Obidike noted that the commitment of Governor Soludo’s administration in providing the public with comprehensive healthcare services cannot be overemphasized.
“We brainstormed together so that the good intention of our governor will not be abused, as well as ensure seamless execution of the four months exercise.

“I must commend our governor for his continued immense support in the healthcare sector of the state, ours is not to fail him.

“Our appeal to Ndi Anambra is for them to help us monitor the exercise, if they discover any irregularity they should as a matter of urgency report to us so that we can address the issue,’’  he added.
