Nigeria has confirmed 471 new cases of the deadly coronavirus also known as COVID-19.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC confirmed the cases on Sunday night via its official website.
The NCDC also noted that two COVID related deaths were recorded in the country
“The 471 new cases are reported from 13 states- Lagos (219), Akwa Ibom (102), Ondo (37), Oyo (33), Kwara (19), Rivers (16), Ekiti (15), Delta (14), Ogun (7), FCT (5), Niger (2), Edo (1) and Katsina (1),” NCDC stated.
These latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 178,086 with 165,763 discharged and 2187 deaths.
