Cross River: INEC Distributes Sensitive Materials For Governorship Election

Sensitive and non-sensitive materials for the March 18 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections have been distributed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Cross River State, Southern Nigeria.

Before the materials were distributed to the 18 local governments areas in the state, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Professor Gabriel Yomeri was on ground at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN office in Calabar, to inspect the materials and ensured they were in good shape.

Professor Yomeri also consented to the signing of result sheets as aggitated for by observers and the representatives of political parties.

He advised adhoc personnel to stick to the election rules without compromising their duties.

Election observers, stakeholders and other representatives of political parties however,  commended the REC for signing the result sheet before the exercise.
