Delta State Set To Host 2023 Teqball Tour
Delta State is set to host 16 state teams in the 2023 Teqball Tour, scheduled to hold from April 10th – 13th April, 2023.
Teqball football curve board game is the fastest growing sport globally that is played by talented footballers in a table tennis style.
It is a football-based sport, played on a specially-curved table (the TEQ table), which is attracting a new generation of athletes and amateur enthusiasts (teqers), whose ambition is to develop their technical skills, concentration and stamina.
The Delta State Sports Media representative, Ogor Clackson, said in a statement that the teams would battle for a $3,000 prize. The 2023 Teqball Tour, will feature five categories namely; Men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s double and mix double.
Clackson advised all football teams in Nigeria to take advantage of this Teqball as the nation is gradually becoming a force in the game. Nigerian Victor Oyemade is one of the players ranked amongst the best 100 in the world.
Oyemade was placed 18th during the 2022 Delta State National Sports Festival demonstration game in December and now ranks 35th in the world.
