The Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, has briefed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the current security situation across the country and ongoing efforts to strengthen national safety.

The closed-door meeting, held on Friday at the State House in Abuja, focused on emerging threats, recent intelligence assessments, and measures being taken to enhance internal security.

In recent months, the Bola Tinubu-led government has ramped up its security posture in response to persistent threats from insurgency, banditry, kidnapping and communal violence.

Also, the Nigerian government had placed the nation’s security apparatus on “highest alert ever,” with explicit instructions for security forces to pursue and dismantle terrorist and criminal networks.
