Ogun State Governor, south-west Nigeria, Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in the state and across the nation, urging them to embrace the enduring values of sacrifice, love, and unity as the nation navigates challenging times.

In his message, the governor described Easter as a profound reminder of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolising hope, redemption, and victory over adversity.

He called on citizens to reflect on virtues such as selflessness, humility, forgiveness, and compassion, stressing that these principles are critical to building a peaceful and progressive society.

Governor Abiodun also encouraged residents of Ogun State and Nigerians at large to use the festive period to pray for peace, stability, and prosperity, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people and delivering sustainable development.

“Easter reminds us that after every trial comes triumph. Let us continue to work together in unity and faith for the collective good of our dear state,” he said.

He noted that the rising cost of living continues to place significant strain on families, while many communities live in fear due to violence, Insecurity, and social instability.
