The State Commissioner for Education, Dr Onyebuchi Chima has urged all teachers in Ebonyi Primary schools to make judicious use of books distributed to them by Sustainable Development Goals SDGs through his Ministry.

Dr Chima gave this advice after receiving books from Special Adviser to Ebonyi Government on SDGs, as she said the books would prepare the children in primary 4, 5 and 6 to become successful in future globally.

The Commissioner noted that the books would empower Ebonyi children to transform the world.

The Special Adviser to Ebonyi State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals, Dr Ngozi Obichukwu said the book was designed to teach pupils in  primary Schools on the best ways to make their future greater.

“This book is called Sustainable Development Goals; 17 global goals and 169  targets to transform the world,” Obichukwu said.

She called on teachers to interpret those goals in the book in the local languages by which the children could understand.

The Chairman of Universal Basic Education Board UBEB, Chief Hycinth Ikpo also advised the teachers to ensure adequate use of the book.
