Troops neutralise over 41 terrorists in Borno state

The troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have neutralised 41 Boko Haram Terrorists and their Islamic State of West Africa Province counterpart in Borno State, recovering sophisticated weapons and rescuing 60 elderly women and children in Borno State, North Eastern of Nigeria.

A statement by the Director  Army Public Relations,  Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima said the incidence followed heavy fighting in the early hours of Monday 15 March 202 in continuation of the on-going offensive operation against the Boko Haram Terrorists and their Islamic State West Africa Province counterpart in the North East.

According to the Army spokes Person troops conducted a fighting patrol along Gulwa and Musuri in Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.


“The Troops are in high fighting spirit and determined as ever to clear the entire region and country of vestiges of Boko Haram terrorists,”
he stated.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru has congratulated the gallant troops while urging them to keep .
