Ebonyi State Government Determines To Ensure Food Security
The Ebonyi State Agricultural Land Development Authority has expressed its determination to ensure food sufficiency in the State and Nigeria.
The State Chairman of the Authority, Mrs Enekwachi-Akpa Lovette disclosed during her Inaugural meeting with the Members of the board.
Mr Enekwachi-Akpa said “I thank our dear Governor, Mr Francis Nwifuru for finding us worthy to work with him in the area of Agricultural Land Development , our prayer is that The Lord will through this administration, project our state to a greater height in the area of Agriculture and indeed all other aspects of our lives”
“Our dear State has always been known for Agricultural practices, ranging from arable lands across the State and her energetic people who’s dreams have been to first make food available to their families and their entire neighborhood. It is evident enough that our State till date produces the best rice there is in the country in terms of taste and nutrients”. She added.
She informed that In the past few years , food insecurity have been a challenge to the nation, and this is the time to rise up as a people, take advantage of the productive land which God has blessed and salvage the situation.
“We will definitely work hand in hand with The Hon Commissioner for Agriculture to get directly to our local farmers across the State, get to hear once more from them what their current challenges are and start dishing out solutions immediately as the Lord gives us grace”
“We all know it won’t be an easy ride but for the sake of the good people of our dear State and the trust placed on us by our dear Governor we will try to put in 100% effort”. She added.
