Emir Of Ilorin Mourns Late Ex-president

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has joined the world to mourn the passing of the immediate past President of Nigeria, Muhammadu who died at the age of 82.

In a condolence message issued by his spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the monarch described the late ex-President as a nationalist who lived his life with the fear of Almighty Allah.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari further said: “The late Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari was a distinguished Nigerian and a true Muslim who demonstrated love for the Nigeria and her people during his tenures as a Military Head of State and later as a democratically elected President for two terms respectively.

“He served Nigeria with full dedication and commitments with a major achievement of promoting unity in the nation. As Muslims, we accept his passing as the will of Almighty Allah. I hereby extend the condolences of the entire members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council to the families of the late Muhammadu Buhari especially, his widow, children and grandchildren for the loss.”

The Emir also commiserated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, government and people of Katsina State and the Emir of Daura, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk, over the incidence.

He therefore prayed Almighty Allah to accept his returns and good deeds, forgive his shortcomings and admit him into Al-janatul firdaos.
