Equities transactions on the Stock Exchange closed in the positive on Monday raising the market index by 0.05% to close at 39,319.75 points.
Investors exchanged 200.17 million shares valued at N1.14 billion in 2,813 deals on Monday.
The market sentiment was also positive as 25 gainers and 17 losers were recorded at the close of trade.
Gainers of the day included Nigerian Brewery which gained N0.80k to close at N52.00,Fidson which gained N0.40k to close at N4.80k and Wapco which gained N0.25k to close at N22.55k.
On the other hand,the losers included Conoil which lost N1.75k to close at N17.00,then Dangote Sugar which lost N0.50k to close at N17.40k and Nahco lost N0.15k to close at N2.10k.
Transcorp had the highest volume of trade for the day as it traded 92,540,939 million shares worth N81,283 million ,followed by First bank Nigeria Holdings which traded 23,892 million shares worth N177.332million.
