Senator Bola Tinubu, therefore, urged the people of Gombe state to vote for the APC at both the federal and state levels.
‘You will see rapid development. We will make Gombe state one of the richest in Nigeria or Africa,’ Senator Bola-Tinubu promised.
According to him, voting for the APC will make the dream of generating employment a reality through the full actualization of the Industrial Park in Dadin Kowa, Yamaltu Deba local government area of the state, a place he referred to as the Economic City to provide skills and education.
High-profile APC chieftains who graced the campaign rally in Gombe were President Muhammadu Buhari, who was represented by the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Professor Ibrahim Ali-Isa Patami; the Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan; Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state, who doubles as the Director General of the Tinubu/Shetima Campaign Team; the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Adamu Abdullahi; the Governor of Jigawa state, Badaru Abubakar; the Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni; the governor of Borno state, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum; and Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, among others.
Representing President Muhammadu Buhari, the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Professor Ibrahim Ali-Isa Patami, said President Buhari was 100% in support of the APC at all levels, calling on the people to disregard any rumour indicating otherwise.
He also highlighted the benefits which the Buhari-led administration as well as Governor Inuwa Yahaya have brought into Gombe state.
Each of the APC chieftains urged the people of Gombe state to support the party with their votes for more development in the state.
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who is seeking a re-election, also canvassed for the people’s support in order to ensure the completion of the developmental projects his administration started.
While admitting to the current hardship being experienced, Governor Yahaya, however, highlighted President Buhari’s efforts at making Nigeria better, citing the restoration of peace and stability, especially to the North-east.
He promised that all the other APC candidates would continue with President Buhari’s vision for the progress and development of Nigeria.
‘Today’s turnout will indeed gladden our people, especially our leaders.
‘Even those who were in the other fold have now come before you and have received our flag, joining the APC,’ said Governor Yahaya.
He called on all APC supporters to stand firm in their support to ensure victory for the party at all levels.
