Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State inspected the ongoing remodelling of the Plateau Hotel and Hill Station Hotel located in Jos, the state capital

Speaking during the inspection, Governor Mutfwang explained that the decision to revitalise the long-abandoned hotels is aimed at breathing new life into the tourism sector. He described the two establishments as “iconic”, noting that their redevelopment forms part of a broader strategy to reposition Plateau as a leading destination for both leisure and investment.

“The history of Plateau is closely linked to landmarks such as these. This is why our administration is pursuing strategic partnerships with private investors to reduce reliance on public funding while ensuring long-term sustainability,” he said.

“With God’s help, a substantial portion of the Plateau Hotel project is expected to be completed and ready for use by 1 December,” he added.
