Italian Beach Soccer Federation Invites Kwara Team For Tournament

The Chairman of the Kwara Beach Soccer Association and founder of Nmanko Beach Soccer Club of Patigi, Idris Jibril, said the Italian Beach Soccer Federation has invited the team to a tournament.

Jibril disclosed this on Saturday in Ilorin at the unveiling of new sets of jerseys for the club. The unveiling has come ahead of the final phase of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) in Kebbi State, scheduled to begin on Wednesday in Birnin-Kebbi.

The jerseys were donated by a Patron and the club’s sole sponsor, Attahiru Ibrahim, the Executive Chairman of Kwara United FC, Kumbi Titiloye and Oladimeji Thompson. The Kwara Football Association (FA) Chairman, Idris Musa, unveiled the jerseys on Saturday in Ilorin.

Jibril applauded various stakeholders, especially Ibrahim, for their unwavering support and stated that the team was ready to consolidate on its achievements in the NBSL in the final round.

He said Nmanko Beach Soccer Club was doing well in the NBSL and itsr captain, Seun Ogunlana, has been penciled down for a national team call-up.

“Also, Adekunle Jamiu is the highest goal scorer in the League,” the Association chairman said.

He stated that as part of the club’s milestones, the Italian Beach Soccer Federation has extended invitation to the Nmanko club to participate in the invitational tournament in September.

Jibril then solicited for all-round support to make the trip worthwhile.

In their goodwill messages, Thompson and Musa promised to sustain support for the club, advising its management to look for sponsors to enhance their participation in subsequent championships.
