Kaduna govt embarks on facility tour marked for upgrade

Kaduna State Government has embarked on health facilities tour, especially those marked for renovation and upgrade across the three senatorial district of the state.

The inspection on the health facilities followed the Uba Sani administration’s commitment to investing in the health sector in alignment with his SUSTAIN agenda, with the goal of improving healthcare in the state.

The Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe who conducted thorough inspection on the health facilities visited Giwa and Ikara health facilities respectively.

Earlier, at a town hall meeting held recently, the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to renovate, upgrade and equip six secondary health facilities to global standard in the state.

Also at the town hall meeting, the Governor announced that two general hospitals from each of the three senatorial zones will undergo upgrades.

These facilities, as mentioned by the Governor include the General Hospital Ikara and Maigama in Soba local government area of the state situated in Zone one.

Others are the general hospital Rigasa in Igabi and general hospital Giwa which are both situated in Zone two, while the general hospital Kafanchan in Jema’a and general hospital Gwantu in Sanga are situated in Zone three.

The Deputy Governor while on the tour was joined by the Commissioner of Health, Umma Kaltume Ahmed, Commissioner of Housing and Urban Development, Aminu Abdullahi Shagali, and other government officials.
