The National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Kaduna State Government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the NSC Headquarters in Abuja, formalising the transfer of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium to the Kaduna State Government for rehabilitation.
The MoU was signed by NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko and Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani following the approval of His Excellency President Bola Tinubu.

The redevelopment project will transform the historic stadium into a modern sports facility with an expanded capacity of 32,000, positioning Kaduna as a major hub for elite sports and sports tourism.
The initiative aligns with the vision of President Tinubu to strengthen sports infrastructure nationwide and position sports as a key driver of economic growth and youth development.
