Kano Governor Makes Strategic Appointments in Education, Rural Development

The Kano State Governor,in North West Nigeria Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved key appointments aimed at enhancing service delivery in the education and rural development sectors.

A press statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature said, Malam Adamu Yusuf Tofa has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Tsangaya Education.

Tofa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies and is well-regarded for his dedication to Islamic and Tsangaya education, particularly among Almajiri pupils.

Also, the Governor appointed Surajo Ahmad Chedi as the Senior Special Assistant on Rural and Community Development.

Extensive experience

Chedi, a three-time Supervisory Councillor, is recognised for his extensive experience in grassroots politics and community development.

He holds a B.Sc. in Public Administration and has spent decades working closely with local communities.

The appointments are part of Governor Yusuf’s inclusive governance strategy, designed to ensure that underserved and rural populations benefit from ongoing government programs and developmental initiatives.
