The governor said that the hospital would be renovated and expanded to boost its services, especially maternity services and care for the children.
“It is disheartening to meet the hospital that caters for the medical needs of thousands of patients daily in a condition uncomfortable for human inhabitation; a situation that needs to be checked and corrected,” Yusuf said
He assured that the state government would ensure the provision of modern health facilities to improve quality healthcare services for the people.
“I do instruct the management of the hospital to as a matter of urgency forward the request for rehabilitation and expansion of the hospital for immediate action to restore the lost glory of the gigantic health facility,” he directed.
Yusuf also charged medical personnel of all cadres to be at their duty posts when due and to discharge their duties according to stipulated rules for the people of the state and beyond.
He also assured residents that the state government would do all it takes to execute policies that have a direct impact on the lives of people in the state, especially the downtrodden.
