Kano State APC Gubernatorial Candidate Promises To Give Autonomy To LGAs

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Kano State, Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, says his administration will give financial autonomy to Local Government Areas, if voted as governor on March 18.

Gawuna, who is the incumbent Deputy Governor of Kano state said Local Governments are integral part of the government and is the tier close to the people that facilitates even development and distribution of resources and services.

“As a former local government chairman I know what its administration is all about.

“When I was a local government chairman,I was given free hand to operate. That made us to achieve alot of successes, therefore, if elected as Governor I would reciprocate that Gawuna explained,” he stated.

Gawuna insisted that he was the most qualified and prepared to be the next Governor of Kano State, haven worked with the previous administrations and have garnered alot of experiences.

He, however, promised to consolidate on the good legacies of past administrations for continuity.

Gawuna also urged the electorate to avoid violence and conduct themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner during the election.
