Kuje Council: INEC declares PDP candidate winner

The Returning officer for Kuje Area council election in the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory, FCT, held on 12 February 2022, Prof Sule Magaji has declared Suleiman Abdullahi Sabo of People’s Democratic party, PDP, as the winner of the Chairmanship election in the Council.

Prof Magaji declared that, Abdullahi Sabo of PDP polled 13301 to defeat his closest rival of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Mr. Sarki Hamidu who polled 7694.

According to the returning officer, ” that I Prof Sule Magaji here by satisfied that I am the returning officer of Kuje Area council election and that Suleiman Sabo of PDP, having satisfied by law and scored the highest number of votes is hereby return elected for the second time”.

 

Mr. Sabo who happened to be the incumbent chairman of Kuje Area council was re-elected having met the requirements of the Constitution and the electoral law.
