Labour Day: Anambra Government commits to improving working condition

The Anambra state government in Southeast Nigeria says it is committed to improving the welfare and working conditions of all the workers.
The Head of Service (HOS) in Anambra State, Theodora Igwegbe made this known in her goodwill message to the workers made public on May 1 in commemoration of this year’s Workers’ Day celebration.
This is as contained She said: “Dear valued workers of Anambra State, on behalf of the State Government, I extend warm greetings and best wishes to you on the occasion of the 2023 Workers’ Day celebration.
“This special day is an opportunity to recognize and appreciate your hard work, dedication and contributions towards the growth and development of our state.
“Your unwavering commitment to duty and service has played a significant role in positioning Anambra State as one of the most progressive and economically viable states in Nigeria.
“As we celebrate this year’s Workers’ Day, I want to acknowledge the sacrifices you have made and the efforts you have put into your work, especially during challenging times. Your resilience, determination, and positive attitude have kept the state running smoothly, and we are deeply grateful for your service.
“I want to assure you that the state government remains committed to not just improving the welfare and working conditions of all workers in Anambra State but also, reforming and revamping the state workforce to be the one that delivers the transformation agenda of Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR.
“Once again, I commend you for your hard work, dedication, and sacrifice; you are the backbone of our state, and we appreciate all that you do to make Anambra State a better place.”
