Labour Party’s Abuja Rally: ‘We’ll do things differently,’ – Peter Obi

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Nigeria, Mr. Peter Obi, has assured his supporters that his administration would do things differently, if the party wins this year’s presidential election.
Mr. Obi said this during the party’s campaign rally on Thursday in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

While speaking at a campaign rally ground, the former Anambra state governor, Mr. Peter Obi, assured his supporters that his administration would do things differently, if the party wins this year’s presidential election.

‘We are offering Nigerians security and prosperity of the country.
‘My government will provide food revolution and ensure that food is in abundance and that Nigerians will have no reason to be hungry again. 
‘I and my running mate, Senator Baba-Ahmed, will empower women and youths and will unite Nigeria where Nigerians will be proud to be Nigerians without sentiment.
‘In 2012, unemployment was 16 per cent, but now it is 65 per cent. 
‘We urge you to join the Labour Party to build a new Nigeria. It is Nigerians that are contesting this election through us; we are only representing you.
‘The Labour Party is producing what has never happened before. For the first time, the presidential candidate and the running mate, and the National Chairman were born after Nigeria’s Independence,’ said Peter Obi.
For his part, the vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Senator Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, described Mr. Obi “as a shining star,” reiterating that ‘Peter Obi will unite Nigeria.’
‘We are coming to do things differently. We will work for Nigeria,’ he assured the supporters.
