The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals plant would serve as a hub for vital raw materials for the manufacturing of different products, its Head, Aliko Dangote has said.
Alhaji Dangote said that access to raw materials for the manufacturing of plastic, metal, building materials, oil and gas and many other industries would be made easily accessible and affordable when the refinery kicks off production.
He was speaking at the commissioning ceremony of the refinery in Lagos, south west Nigeria.
Alhaji Dangote said the refinery has 40% capacity for export of these and other oil products that would help boost foreign exchange.
While noting that the refinery would also enhance job opportunities for Nigerians, Dangote also stated that the refinery was established based on the company’s need to ensure self sufficiency in Nigeria, while meeting global competition.
In addition, he said the petroleum products needs of Nigerians would be met, which would in turn have a huge impact on their lives.
