NNPC Announces 20% Equity Stake in Dangote Petroleum Refinery

The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has confirmed  a 20% equity stake in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals.

The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Mr Mele Kyari made the announcement while delivering his industry address at the commissioning ceremony of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

“As part of this significant project, NNPC Limited is proud to confirm its 20% equity stake in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals,” Kyari announced to the audience.

Last week, Mr kyari announced that the NNPC would supply 300,000 barrels of crude to Dangote Refinery for the commencement of operations.

The company’s Group CEO gave the assurance at the 2023 Nigerian Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair organised by the NCDMB held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

He reassured participants at the Fair that the government was poised to ensure energy sufficiency in the future and for the improvement of quality of life for Nigerians.
